FLY-R and the French Navy Mark a New Era in Naval Warfare with Successful Loitering Munition Trial

In a landmark demonstration of next-generation naval capabilities, French aerospace company FLY-R successfully launched and operated a remotely piloted loitering munition from the deck of the French Navy’s Floréal-class surveillance frigate, Floréal.

The trial, conducted under real-world maritime conditions, showcased the system’s ability to perform complex maneuvers around a simulated moving target – signaling a major leap forward in the integration of unmanned systems into naval operations.
