France’s General Directorate of Armaments (DGA) has reportedly undertaken discussions with the French automobile industry with a view to mass-producing long-range loitering munitions capable of traveling 100 km.
French newspapers L’Opinion and Les Echos reported earlier this month that the new initiative, announced by DGA CEO Emmanuel Chiva, aims to “simplify our purchasing procedures, decentralize them, and above all introduce a new criterion: the ability to produce quickly and in mass.”
