As India faces mounting security challenges along its borders with Pakistan and China, the Indian Army is fast-tracking the deployment of advanced loitering munitions and drone-integrated artillery systems to bolster its battlefield capabilities.

Sources within the defense establishment revealed last month that the Army is preparing to activate five newly formed Bhairav Commando battalions by the end of the month. These units will be strategically positioned along critical frontiers – three near the northern borders with China and Pakistan, one in the northeast, and another on the western front.
