Rheinmetall secures NATO contract for HERO loitering munition systems

Rheinmetall has been commissioned by a NATO customer to supply HERO Loitering Munition systems. Several hundred systems have been ordered this year, with the contracts valued in the low three-digit-million euro range gross. Deliveries are set to begin in the first quarter of 2026 and are scheduled for completion by the end of next year.

The LM systems will be produced in Italy by RWM Italia, supported by partner UVision Air Ltd. The ordered HERO systems feature the latest generation of high-performance anti-tank warheads developed by Rheinmetall.
