In a move designed to bolster Ukraine’s defense capabilities, UK Defence Secretary John Healey MP finalized a deal with Anduril UK for nearly £30 million ($38 million) worth of advanced drones earlier this month.
The order was announced on March 6 during Healy’s visit to Washington D.C. for discussions with U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. During the trip, Healy also met with staff at Anduril’s facility, where he spoke with a number of American and British staff. The new contracts, backed by the International Fund for Ukraine, will see the supply of Anduril’s Altius 600m and Altius 700m loitering munitions to the Ukrainian Armed Forces to support in the monitoring and engagement of enemy targets.
